Red velvet, ruffled hems, white hair trim at collar, on front hem, and on upper back, white lace trim at cuffs, four button front faux closure, hidden hook-and-eye closures, 'Western Costume Co.' label reads "#41;" together with a matching white hair muff, secret pocket inside with a zip-up closure; worn by the star as "Belle Watling" in the amusing scene where she comes to visit "Rhett Butler" [Clark Gable] in jail, passing "Scarlett O'Hara" [Vivien Leigh] and "Mammy" [Hattie McDaniel] who are just leaving; according to the current owner, this was Walter Plunkett's favorite costume from the film; purchased at a Butterfield & Butterfield auction in Los Angeles during one of their famous Western Costume Company auctions.
