An Olivia De Havilland Scarf and Related Brooch from "Gone With The Wind." Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1939. Scarf hand-knit, navy blue wool, gray trim, front part longer to wear 'criss-crossed' over chest; worn by the star as "Melanie Hamilton Wilkes" in the scene where she gets into the carriage to thank "Belle Watling" [Ona Munson] for helping her husband "Ashley Wilkes" [Leslie Howard]; interestingly, this scarf is very similar to the hand-knit sweater worn by De Havilland in earlier sequences (see previous lot); it was also worn in several screen tests; included with a paste cameo brooch which was gifted by De Havilland to Ann Robinson [De Havilland's stand-in and double on the film], then obtained by the current consignor.
