    An Olivia De Havilland Period Sweater from "Gone With The Wind." Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1939. Hand-knit, gray wool with maroon trim at collar, on front, and on cuffs, three-quarter length butterfly sleeves, front portion purposely longer than back of sweater, two small front pockets with maroon wool bow appliqué, two decorative maroon wool buttons on front, hidden snap and hook-and-eye closures; worn by the star as "Melanie Hamilton Wilkes" in two scenes: when she meets "Ashley Wilkes" [Leslie Howard] at the train station during his furlough and when she and the other ladies encounter "Belle Watling" [Ona Munson] outside of the church/hospital.
