Description

A Robert DeNiro Wacky Tailored Jacket Related to "George" Magazine and "Wag the Dog," 1997. Camoflauge print in shades of green, brown, black, and tan, peaked lapels, single-breasted, three-button front closure, four front pockets, two vents in back, labels read "Richard James / Savile Row" and "Made in England," further label reads "Richard James / 42 / Robert DeNiro;" one of a couple of jackets that were custom-made for the actor to wear on the February 1998 cover of John F. Kennedy Jr.'s magazine, "George," alongside his co-star Dustin Hoffman (who wears a matching one); the two were promoting their 1997 New Line Cinema Film, "Wag the Dog" which strangely has even more relevance today, 20 years later; DeNiro ended up wearing another almost identical jacket on the magazine cover (as it photographed better) and not this spare one, so the art director kept it and is now offering it here; included are two color outtake photographs from the same art director -- one of DeNiro alone and one of DeNiro and Hoffman together -- both with 'bullet holes' through them as that's how the cover was designed.
