A brown wool period-style jacket, two button front closure, rust-colored velvet trim on lapels and cuffs, inside Western Costume Co. label reads "No. 2458-1 / John Wayne #1 / Chest 46," further WCC stamps on inside sleeve lining; together with a matching pair of pants, WCC label reads "No. 2458-5 / John Wayne / Ch. 1A / Waist 40," further WCC stamps on inside waistband; worn by Wayne in the extended parlor scene where Stephanie Powers [as "Becky McLintock"] gets spanked by Patrick Wayne [as "Devlin Warren"]. (Please note the jacket's hem was altered from box-shaped to rounded and the pants were shortened for a later use; the suit also shows signs of damage and wear.)
