A Milo Anderson Group of Costume Design Sketches from An Unknown Production, Circa 1930s. Seven total, all rendered in gouache and pencil on heavy stock paper, each depicting a colorful lady with a fanciful name including Diamond Lil, Liverpool Lizzie, Chicago Mae, State Street Sadie, Silk Stocking Sally, Roadhouse Rosie, and Flossie; all signed in pencil in the lower right corner "Milo" -- the prominent 1930s-1950s Hollywood costume designer -- though these particular sketches may have been for the theatre; in any case, they're quite fun and charming!
