    A Mae West Group of Platform High Heels, Circa 1930s. Three pairs; the first crème-colored satin, rounded toe, t-strap with a tiny rhinestone button closure, label in right shoe reads "I. Miller / Beautiful Shoes / Made in New York," label in left shoe reads "I. Miller / Los Angeles / Palm Springs / Seattle / Hollywood," further stamped "Especially Made / For / Miss Mae West," 5" heel, not sized as West had these custom-made, but they fit like a modern-day 5 1/2 Narrow; the second pair identical but black satin; the third pair identical but peach-colored satin and with a tiny white Bakelite button closure (but labeling is worn off); included with a signed 'Letter of Provenance' from John West, Mae's nephew. (Please note these shoes are in only marginal condition due to wear and age.)
