A Mae West Group of Platform Heels, Circa 1930s. Two pairs; the first royal blue satin, rounded toe, t-strap with a tiny royal blue Bakelite button closure, label in right shoe reads "I. Miller / Beautiful Shoes / Made in New York," further handwritten annotation reads "4 1/2D-124 / 1249," label in left shoe reads in part "I Miller Sons, Inc. / New York" and "Especially Made / For / Mae West," with same handwritten annotation as other shoe, 5" heel, sized as noted above but they fit like a modern-day 6 Narrow; the second an identical pair but in crème-colored satin, all labels and handwritten annotations same as blue ones except the number "1250" which may have been a style/color number; included with a signed 'Letter of Provenance' from John West, Mae's nephew. (Please note both pairs show signs of age and wear, especially the crème-colored ones which are in just marginal condition.)
