    A Mae West Group of High Heels, Circa 1930s. Two pairs; the first crème-colored satin, rounded toe, t-strap with a tiny rhinestone button closure, label in right shoe reads "I. Miller / Beautiful Shoes / Made in New York," label in left shoe reads "I. Miller / Los Angeles / Palm Springs / Seattle / Hollywood," with a further stamp reading "Especially Made / For / Miss Mae West," 4 1/2" heel, not sized as West had these custom-made, but they fit like a modern-day 5 1/2 Narrow; the second similar but black leather, tiny black Bakelite button closure, labeling similar, further handwritten annotation on both shoes reads "Mae West / 2306," 4" heel, not sized but they fit like a modern-day 5 1/2 Narrow; included with a signed 'Letter of Provenance' from John West, Mae's nephew. (Please note the crème-colored shoes were never worn but are stained; the black ones are still in good condition with only minor signs of wear and age.)
