A Leslie Howard Confederate Soldier Jacket from "Gone With The Wind." Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1939. Made of wool (now gray due to fading but originally blue), yellow wool collar and cuffs, decorative yellow detail on sleeves, seven button front closure (two buttons missing), blue wool patch on right elbow, purposely distressed with stitching, staining, and holes, faded blue cotton lining, 'Selznick Int. Pictures Inc.' label reads "20-108-M-41," inside right sleeve has a 'Western Costume Co.' stamp; worn by the actor as "Ashley Wilkes" in the moving scene where he finds his way back to Tara, battered from the war, and back to "Melanie's" [Olivia de Havilland] loving embrace. (Please note the gold stars from the collar are now missing, but their outline can still be seen.)

An almost identical jacket (labeled "20-108-M-33" and with added matching trousers) was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions (Beverly Hills) auction titled "The James Tumblin 'Gone With The Wind' Collection," Sale 7134, April 18, 2015, Lot 89009, final price realized was $16,250.
