    A Group of Walter Plunkett Costume Design Sketches, 1940s-1950s. Three total; the first of an unknown actress, from an unknown film, rendered in gouache and pencil on illustration board, depicting the actress in a period costume as "Anna," production notes penciled around the margins, signed in pencil in the lower right corner "Walter Plunkett;" the second of an unknown actress, possibly from "Madame Bovary," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1949, rendered in gouache and pen and ink on paper, depicting the actress in period costume as "Mme. Du Bois," signed in black fountain pen ink in the lower right corner "Walter Plunkett;" and the third of actor John Dierkes, from "Plymouth Adventure," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1952, rendered in gouache and pencil on illustration board, depicting the actor in period costume as "Green," signed in black felt-tip ink (later) in the lower right corner "Walter Plunkett / sketched by Elaine (illegible)," with fabric swatches stapled to the left margin.
