    Description

    A Glenn Ford Shirt from "The Redhead and the Cowboy" and "The Secret of Convict Lake." Paramount, 1951; 20th Century Fox, 1951. Orange and black checkered wool, rounded collar, two front breast pockets, five button front closure plus zip-up front closure, evident repair work at both armpits, no labels present; worn by the actor as both "Gil Kyle" and "Jim Canfield" in these two westerns he made the same year -- one co-starring Rhonda Fleming and the other Gene Tierney.

    PROVENANCE:
    This shirt was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions (Dallas) auction titled "Music & Entertainment Memorabilia," Sale 696, October 4-6, 2008, Lot 49291, final price realized was $1,912; it was from The Glenn Ford Estate as consigned by his son, Peter.
