A Costume from "Rocky Balboa" (aka "Rocky VI"). Metro Goldwyn Mayer, 2006. Grey wool jacket with Universal Studios inventory tag, together with white cotton tank top, cream button front shirt, black leather belt and silver and burgundy patterned silk tie, with costumer's tags, worn by Stallone as "Rocky Balboa" when he pleads his case.

"I like this scene very much. It pretty much starts outside the building when Rocky comes into the shot and you realize he's wearing this ill-fitting suit, probably hasn't had it on in many, many years. And he enters City Hall where he pleads his case and is denied a license. Feeling uncomfortable and out of place, Rocky speaks from his heart and wins over the commission and is given a license. This scene, while wearing this outfit, is very significant and speaks to every person's right to follow the pursuit of happiness if they've put in the time -- as Rocky would say, if they've "paid the freight," they deserve a shot at life."
