Description

A Cesar Romero Clown Costume from "Batman." ABC Television, 1966-168. A satin tunic, pants, hat, and collar worn by Cesar Romero as the Joker in the Season One "Batman" episodes "The Joker is Wild/Batman is Riled;" the memorable story involved Batman and Robin attempting to capture the Joker at a performance of Pagliacci; instead, it is he, disguised as the classic opera's tragic clown, who captures them and attempts a public unmasking; label on the inner lining of the tunic reads "Berman's Film and Theatrical Costumiers/Hollywood." (Please note one of the collar's fasteners is missing, there are two small areas of discoloration along the back of the right shoulder seam, and a very minor area of discoloration along front left collar, hardly visible, with a few spots of discoloration on various parts of the pants.)
