DescriptionA Carroll Baker Charm Bracelet from "Baby Doll." Warner Bros., 1956. Made of silvertone metal, with 15 charms of various design including one made of sterling silver of The Ten Commandments which the actress actually mentions in the film; worn by Baker as she portrayed the title character in numerous scenes, including the most notorious one where she and Eli Wallach (as "Silva Vacarro") are in the back seat of the broken down car and he takes her wrist to count the charms on her bracelet; there are supposed to be 19 of them (one for each year of her life), but in actuality, there were always just these 15 on it according to Ms. Baker herself. (Please note that most of the 15 charms are rudimentarily affixed to the chain bracelet; again, according to Ms. Baker, that's how they always were.)
Length: 6 1/2"
This piece was consigned directly to Heritage Auctions by Carroll Baker herself; included is a handwritten letter from her reading in part "The bracelet I have / consigned to Heritage / Auctions is the original / that I wore in the film / back in 1956."
