    Description

A Brian Avery Trenchcoat from "The Graduate." Embassy Pictures, 1967. Classic style, tan cotton, five button front closure, two frontal flap pockets, designer label reads in part "Aquascutum / Ltd of London, England / Size 40 Reg.," another interior label notes in blue fountain pen ink in part "Brian Avery;" used by the actor as "Carl Smith" in the funny/sad scene where he meets "Elaine" [Katharine Ross] at the zoo, whisking her away from the pathetic "Ben" [Dustin Hoffman] without a second thought; consigned directly to the auction by Avery himself. (Please note the coat is now in worn condition as Avery used it as his personal trench for many years afterwards.)
