Buck Rogers in the 25th Century Ruins of Chicago Matte Painting (NBC, 1979-1981) Matte painting accomplished in mixed media on 54" x 34.5" glass in pine frame. Painted by Syd Dutton.

"It happened so fast. Families were buried together. Dates became unimportant as all systems broke down."

This matte painting established a view of Chicago, devastated by a nuclear war in 1987, as Buck Rogers (Gil Gerard) returned after being frozen for over 500 years. The artist painted in the matte area after filming to create a fully painted scene.

In Very Good Plus condition exhibiting expected production wear, minor scuffing, and soiling. COA from Heritage Auctions.
