Basil Rathbone "Sherlock Holmes" tweed wool jacket from Hound of the Baskervilles. (TCF, 1939) Vintage original gray and black tweed wool herringbone double-breasted suit jacket worn by Basil Rathbone as the super sleuth "Sherlock Holmes" in several scenes in The Hound of the Baskervilles (first of 14-films), with notched lapels, and 2-hip flap pockets. Featuring United green label typed "713 Basil Rathbone." All buttons have been replaced and the jacket has been altered for use in a subsequent production. Exhibiting expected production wear, age and handling. In vintage very good condition. Provenance: Profiles in History, Debbie Reynolds: The Auction, June 2011. Lot 115.
