DescriptionLeonard Bernstein's TV Hall of Fame Award. This eye-catching trophy was presented to Bernstein in 1990 by the Television Academy Hall of Fame, in recognition of his 50 years as a professional composer. Bernstein, who died shortly after receiving this award, was also honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and others during his lifetime. Edie Adams, who had been lifelong friends with the composer, acquired the trophy at a 1997 estate auction. (Ernie had been inducted into the Hall of Fame three years prior.)
