    Description

    Glenn Ford's Shooting Awards (1955). Includes a First Place patch and two medals for the Southwestern Command Pistol Team and a First Place patch and three medals for the Southwestern Command Rifle Team. Ford was credited with being the fastest gun in Hollywood Westerns, able to draw a pistol and fire in 0.4 seconds. Both sets of awards are in Very Fine condition with some areas of discoloration and are encased in 5.5" x 7.5" x 1.75" display boxes. Also in this lot is a humorous 16" x 11" wooden sign painted with the motto "Love your enemies, but keep your gun oiled!" that hung in Ford's bar among his rare books. In Excellent condition. From the Glenn Ford Estate. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Peter Ford.
