    Description

    Glenn Ford's Military Awards with Photos (1967). In 1958, Glenn Ford joined the U.S. Naval Reserve and was commissioned as a lieutenant commander and designated a public affairs officer; Ford went to Vietnam in 1967 for a month's tour of duty as a location scout for a training film, traveling with a combat camera crew from the demilitarized zone south to the Mekong Delta. Included here is a set of U.S. Naval Reserve service medals in a 10.5" x 12.5" display box, Special Forces plaque, a USNR appreciation plaque, a green beret with assorted insignia, USNR ball cap, and 21 unpublished b&w 8" x 10" photos of Ford during service in Vietnam. Items are in overall Very Fine to Excellent condition. From the Glenn Ford Estate. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Peter Ford.
