Cecil B. DeMille 1954 Cinemonde Award. Vintage award statuette crafted from metal presented on a marble platform and measuring 5.5" x 4.75" x 8.25". Featuring a dynamic green-hued rendering of the Victory Goddess Statue, this prestigious French award was presented to DeMille a year after winning the Academy Award for "Best Picture" for The Greatest Show on Earth (1952). The engraved metal plate roughly translated reads, "Cecil B. DeMille/Under the Biggest Big Top in the World/Victory for French Cinema 1954". One of the many awards the distinguished filmmaker collected during his long career, this ornate statuette was showcased in his office on his crowded awards mantle. Award exhibits storage wear, minor paint chipping, patina on metal plate, and scuffing on marble platform. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
