Description

Anne Revere's Tony Award for Toys in the Attic. This Antoinette Perry Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play was awarded to Revere for her critically acclaimed performance the original Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's play. Produced by Kermit Bloomgarden and directed by Arthur Penn, it opened at the Hudson Theatre on February 25, 1960, and closed on April 8, 1961, after 456 performances. The opening night cast also included Jason Robards, Maureen Stapleton, Rochelle Oliver, and Irene Worth. Of the five Tony nominations the play received (including Best Play and Best Leading Actor and Actress), this was the only one awarded tot he production. The 3" silver medallion is in Very Fine condition with some mild tarnishing, and is accompanied by it's original storage case.
