    An Ernest Borgnine Group of Awards/Framed Items, 1980s-2000s. Nine total, all presented to the actor by various organizations he was associated with including: 1) The United States of America Veterans Administration in 1987; 2) Veterans Administration in 1985; 3) Blue Angels in 2007; 4) The Military Department, State of California in 2002; 5) The United States Navy Band in 2002; 6) The Empire Theatre in NYC (a framed piece of their upholstery); 7) USS Proteus AS-19 in the 1980s; 8) a color image of Borgnine mounted to a board, signed across the entire surface by well-wishers in the 2000s; and 9) a typed letter, on FBI letterhead, dated "June 1, 1964," signed in black fountain pen ink in the lower right corner "J. Edgar Hoover," matted next to a black and white photograph of the director, gifted to Borgnine after he portrayed Hoover in the 1983 20th Century Fox made-for-television movie, "Blood Feud" -- a role he reprised years later on stage and then again in the 2000 Pamplin film titled "Hoover."
