Academy Award Double-nomination Certificate Awarded to Walter Scharf for Music Scoring of Hit Parade of 1943 and In Old Oklahoma (Republic, 1943). Vintage original Academy Award double-nomination certificate for "Scoring of a Musical Picture" [Hit Parade of 1943] and "Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture" [In Old Oklahoma]. Though nominated ten times for Academy Awards, Scharf was only honored in his career with one Emmy, and one Golden Globe, for, of all things, the young Michael Jackson-crooned theme song for the horror film Ben. Measuring 10" x 11.5". Signed by Academy president Walter Wanger, with gold embossed seal in lower left recto corner. Exhibiting moderate even toning from age, with archival tape reinforcement on verso. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
