A Marlon Brando 'Victoire du Cinéma Française' French Award for "On the Waterfront." A metal statuette in the form of "Winged Victory of Samothrace" (aka Nike of Samothrace), resting on a black marble base, placard on front reads "Marlon Brando / Victoire du Cinéma Française 1955 / Referendum Cinémonde / et Le Film Française;" awarded to the actor for his moving portrayal of Terry Malloy in the 1954 Columbia film; interestingly, this award was a precursor to both the 'Étoile de Cristal' award and the more well-known 'César' award (which is France's version of an Academy Award.)
