W.C. Fields Signed Photo Inscribed to Charley Grapewin. A sepia 7" x 9" photograph of W.C. Fields inscribed "Merry Xmas from Sam R. Hardy and Bill Field To: Charley Grapewin." This amusing photograph shows a young Fields in true form on the court, mixing a drink in one hand and a racket at the ready in the other. Interestingly, the only joint project executed by Fields and Hardy was Man on the Flying Trapeze, which premiered in August 1935 just before Hardy's death in October of the same year. In Good condition with frayed edges, a hole on the left side, wrinkles at the top, and water damage to the lower edge. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
