Description

Walt Disney's Signed Insurance Policy. A single-page, double-sided standard application for a life insurance policy, dated March 1, 1940, signed in black ink by Disney (as "Walter E. Disney") and his older brother Raymond, with the latter signing twice as a witness. The application was for a $50,000 policy with a $1,300 premium. At the time it was submitted, Disney was ushering in the Golden Age of animation, having released Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio, putting the finishing touches on Fantasia, and winning a special Academy Award for the creation of the Mickey Mouse series of cartoons. Walt passed away in 1966 at the age of 65; Raymond died in 1989 at the age of 98. A unique sample of two rare autographs, in Fine to Very Fine condition with some toning, edge wear, and fold creases. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
