Two Signed Pages from Clifton Webb's Guest Book, Including Signatures of Noel Coward and Ruth Chatterton. Actor Clifton Webb and his mother Maybelle attracted the most glamorous and accomplished guests to their home, and always requested they sign their guest book. This venerable two-page lot features (on page one) the flamboyant signature of the legendary Noel Coward, as well as Hollywood's early 1930s powerhouse actress Ruth Chatterton, then married to Warner Bros. leading man George Brent. In fact, Ms. Chatterton has signed "Ruth Chatterton Brent." George has signed too. Ruth Chatterton signed this way only briefly -- having married Brent in 1932, they divorced in 1934. The second page includes the signatures of famed violinist Jascha Heifetz, designer Cecil Beaton (later of My Fair Lady fame), and the beautiful Ziegfeld star Marilyn Miller. A superb lot in Excellent condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
