The Wizard of Oz Original Shooting Script Signed by Script Clerk Wallace Worsley, Plus Production Breakdown Pages. "There's no place like home," and there are few lots as magical as this one -- the original, complete shooting script for The Wizard of Oz, signed in pencil on the cover by script clerk Wallace Worsley Jr., plus the film's Production Breakdown booklet, detailing plans for every day of shooting of MGM production #1060. The script is dated October 7, 1938, with the MGM script department sticker (complete with Leo the Lion's image), runs 112 pages, and is filled with surprises (e.g., Prof. Marvel has a dwarf assistant and a pet lion). Also included are the lyrics to the long-lost musical number "The Jitter Bug" (cut before the film's release), and final dialogue that differs from the unforgettable "There's no place like home!" curtain line. The production breakdown booklet is dated September 28, 1938 and fills an incredible 88 pages, detailing cast on call, synopsis of sequence being shot, method of shooting, music and sound, bit players, extras, special effects, and props. Some eye-openers here too -- e.g. the Wicked Witch originally was to fill the Tin Man full of bees, and the production chart for that day indeed calls for...bees! Add to the remarkable content the fact that, since the script belonged to the script clerk Worsley, it would have been on the set of this film every day of its production. the script has some tatters along its binder border and some minor staining, while the production breakdown has some cover fading -- overall Very Good condition. Highly desirable, once-in-a-lifetime artifacts from one of the most beloved classics ever filmed.
