    Description

    Strother Martin Signature. A bold black felt tip signature on a 5" x 3" card; a handwritten pencil note on the verso states that it was obtained May 5, 1975, at Avery Fisher Hall. He is best known as the prison captain in Cool Hand Luke where he uttered the legendary line: "What we've got here is a failure to communicate." Included with this lot is a glossy B&W scene of him with Paul Newman from Cool Hand Luke, provided for matting or display purposes. Very Fine condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
