    Signed Correspondence to Mark Hellinger, Double Dummy Archive. Including signed correspondence from: Rudy Vallée, on personal stationery; Albert B. "Happy" Chandler, on Senate letterhead; Harold Wallace Ross, on New Yorker notepaper; author Gertrude Atherton, on personal letterhead; Dudley Field Malone (of "Monkey Trial" fame); Charles Hanson Towne; Delight Evans, on Screenland letterhead; Buddy DeSylva, on personal letterhead. Also included: Western Union telegram, inviting Hellinger to a gathering in honor of Robert Benchley who died two weeks earlier, signed "Friends of Mr. Benchley"; a certificate, 11" x 8.5", recognizing Hellinger's contribution to the Hollywood Canteen with a printed signature of Bette Davis; a large folder of magazines (Life, Post, Variety, etc.) with stories on Hellinger and his films; and, four copies of the script of the Hellinger-produced play Double Dummy in various iterations. All correspondence ranging from 1936-1947. Canteen certificate and the Chandler letter have water staining; the other letters have mounting residue, else Fine. From the Mark Hellinger Archive.
