Sharon Tate Signed Christmas Card, 1961. Envelope is postmarked December 12, 1961 and is hand-addressed in black ink by Sharon Tate to her grandmother, Mrs. Grace Tate ("Nannie") in Houston, Texas. "Nannie" has penned "From Sharon" on the back of the envelope. Card (with a painting of a gondola on the cover) bears the pre-printed greeting "Buno Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo -- With every Good Wish for Christmas and the New Year". Sharon writes inside the card in black ink: "Nannie, I hope this card finds you in good health and may it add to wishing you the Merriest of Christmas's and a wonderful New Year. So until I see you soon, I remain as ever your loving granddaughter! Love, Sharon". It was a very significant year in Sharon's life; she graduated from high school in Italy and appeared as an extra in an amphitheater scene in Barabbas, her first documented film appearance. The card and envelope have survived almost half a century in Excellent condition, and Sharon's handwriting is full, clean, and energetic. A lovely memento from an eventful time when Sharon Tate was about to begin her too-brief career. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
