Rock Hudson Signed Documents. When well-known Hollywood talent agent Henry Wilson took a young truck driver named Roy Fitzgerald from Winnetka, Illinois, capped his teeth, and gave him a name based on the Rock of Gibraltar and the Hudson River, he created the persona of leading man Rock Hudson. This set of legal documents includes a two-page petition dated October 6, 1978, and a Proof of Publication form dated January 8, 1979, both part of Hudson's formal petition to legally change his name to "Rock Hudson" after having used it professionally for more than 30 years. The petition is signed "Roy Harold Fitzgerald aka Rock Hudson" by the actor in black ink on the last page, and is in Very Fine to Excellent condition with very mild wear and the usual binder holes to the top edge.
