Mary Astor Signed Letter to Her Agent Regarding Her Novel, A Place Called Saturday. A letter signed by Mary Astor, dated "Saturday, 7th" (September 7, 1968). Letter is addressed to her longtime agent Gloria Safier and discusses finished copies of her upcoming novel, A Place Called Saturday. Reads: "Dear Gloria -- Nice going! I thank you! Will you ask 'the boys' for some presentation copies of 'Saturday' for me? I think a dozen should do it. I owe a few to people who did research for me -- besides family & friends. I hope to be moving to Alamos before the end of the year -- lots of red tape. I now have both Soc. Sec. & SAG pension, on which I can live a hell of a lot better life than here. Of course I can still dream about a film sale & my small Greek temple -- but till then! Love, Mary."

One page letter measures 6" x 8" and has Safier's typed letter response on a sheet of 7.25" x 10.25" rice paper stapled to top. Dated September 12, 1968, Safier mentions her books are being shipped. In Very Good condition.
