    Description

Marilyn Monroe Signed Movie Contract for Home Town Story (1950). A single-page, double-sided freelance player's contract, dated March 22, 1950 and signed by Monroe on the reverse in black ink, engaging her for her role ad Iris in the 1951 film Home Town Story (referenced under its working title, Between the Lines, filmed at Hal Roach Studios). The contract is the oldest we've ever had the chance to offer, dating from the the turbulent early period of her career, pre-dating her breakout starring role in Niagara by three years. The contract is in Fine to Very Fine condition with an area of slight tearing at the bottom edge that extends into the first "M" in Monroe's signature, but in our opinion the signature is as close to a "10" as you can get. Accompanied by a reproduced publicity image of Monroe from the film. Mild toning, edge wear, a few creases, and some tearing along the top edge. In overall Very Good condition. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
