    Description

John Wayne and Others Cast-Signed What Price Glory? Program Book. A vintage program book for a 1949 all-star performance of Maxwell Anderson and Laurence Stallings' play produced by John Ford, inscribed and autographed throughout by Wayne (signing as "Duke"), Gregory Peck, Maureen O'Hara, Pat O'Brien, Ward Bond, Harry Carey Jr., Oliver Hardy, Ed Begley, and others. Produced as a fund-raiser for the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Ford's version of the play featured top box office stars to well-known character actors who worked on the project for free, while Hollywood studios cooperated by adjusting the work schedules of their stars so that they could attend the nightly rehearsals. This one-of-a-kind item is in Fine condition with some mild creasing, tearing, and paper loss to the front cover, creases and tanning to the pages, and mild overall wear. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
