Description

Henry Brandon Signed Document Referring to Boris Karloff. A two-page typed question from authorized biographer Scott Allen Nollen and a two-page handwritten answer from character actor Henry Brandon, who appeared as the villain opposite Karloff in the "Mr. Wong" film Doomed to Die (1940), and as heavies in such classic films as Babes in Toyland (1934), the serial Drums of Fu Manchu (1940), John Ford's masterpiece The Searchers (1956) with John Wayne and Natalie Wood, and the science-fiction classic The Land Unknown (1957). Brandon writes extensively about Karloff, mentioning the 1946 play On Borrowed Time and the TV program Hallmark Hall of Fame, includes personal insights on Karloff's personality and demeanor, and mentions such film and theatrical figures as Milburn Stone, Judith Anderson, George Schaefer, Maurice Evans, and Tom Helmore -- Evelyn Karloff's first husband. Used as research for the 1991 book Boris Karloff: A Critical Account and the 1999 book Boris Karloff: A Gentleman's Life. In Very Fine condition. From the personal collection of authorized biographer Scott Allen Nollen. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
