Ginger Rogers Signed Licensing Agreement, 1942. A two-page licensing agreement, dated April 15, 1942, signed by Ginger Rogers in black ink. The agreement gave Western Publishing Company "exclusive right, license and permission to manufacture, publish, sell, advertise, and distribute" books including a character with Rogers' name and physical likeness. Rogers signed the agreement on the second page; her signature is large and legible. The lot also includes a contract and letter, both signed by writer Lela E. Rogers, regarding her 1942 book Ginger Rogers and the Riddle of the Scarlet Cloak. Lela Rogers was Ginger's mother and a Hollywood figure in her own right. A fascinating group of signed documents from the Rogers women! In Very Good condition with moderate age-tanning, minor corner wear, and the typical mailing creases. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
