It's a set of four signed Screen Actors Guild freelance contracts for assorted early Westerns including: a June 12, 1939 contract engaging Roy Barcroft (legendary western heavy and portrayer of the title role in the 1945 serial The Purple Monster Strikes)for The Man From Texas; a December 17, 1939 contract engaging Charles King (walrus-mustached villain of over 400 films) for Sundown on the Prairie; an August 9, 1940 contract engaging David Sharpe (the "crown prince" of Hollywood stuntmen) for Silver Stallion; and an August 12, 1940 contract engaging Chief Thundercloud (the original "Tonto" of the 1938 serial The Lone Ranger) for Silver Stallion. A rip-roarin' collection, in overall Very Fine condition. Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.
