    Elmo Lincoln Vintage Autographed Photo. A rare color-tinted 7.25" x 9.25" photo of Lincoln, the first actor to play Tarzan on the silver screen (Tarzan of the Apes, 1918). The photo is inscribed "To 'Doc' McLaughlin / Keep up the good work" and is signed "'Elmo'" and dated 1921 by the actor in black ink. (It was during 1921 that Lincoln made his third and final appearance as the Lord of the Jungle, in the serial The Adventures of Tarzan.) In Very Fine to Excellent condition with mild wear to the edges and corners. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA. From the Archive of Dr. Tilman McLaughlin.
