Elizabeth Taylor Early Signed Letters. A set of twelve letters (three handwritten and nine typed letters on personal stationery) from the late screen icon, dating from December 11, 1945 to October 12, 1948, each signed by Taylor in ink. The correspondence was written by a teenage Taylor in reply to letters from a fan named Jean Grey, and content includes references to the book about her pet chipmunk that she wrote and illustrated, Nibbles and Me, as well as the movies Cynthia, Little Women, and Conspirator. It was during this post-National Velvet period of her career that Taylor earned a reputation as a reliable and professional actress and earned the nickname "One-Shot Liz" due to her ability to shoot a scene in one take; the back-to-back releases of Little Women and Conspirator in 1949 marked her transition from adolescent to adult roles. Also included is a b&w 3" x 5" photo of Taylor inscribed and signed by her on the reverse. All items are in overall Very Fine condition with mailing creases and some toning to the letters. All are accompanied by their original mailing envelopes.
