Edgar G. Ulmer's Signed Sketch of Anne Boleyn. While blueprinting Loves of Three Queens, Edgar Ulmer gave thought to featuring Anne Boleyn, as this sketch reveals. The 9.5" x 13" sketch presents Anne in profile, imperious, arrogant, and virtually radiating a please-cut-off-my-head attitude; her left hand holds jewelry that resembles (quite cleverly) a ball and chain. The sketch features headdress, high collar, earrings, décolletage, and an intense, cunning look; Ulmer has signed his name in the lower left and penciled in a number in the upper right area. Some light creasing, in overall Very Good condition, matted and framed to 15" x 19". Ulmer surely would have provided an interesting dramatic approach to the marital tragedy of King Henry VIII and his unfortunate second wife. From the Edgar G. Ulmer Preservation and Trust Corp. Accompanied by an LOA from Arianne Ulmer Cipes. Requires third party shipping.
