Early Starlets Signed Photo Group. Anna May Wong, Brigitte Helm, Dolores Costello, and Norma Talmadge grace this group of four photos with their radiant images and personalized inscriptions. Translated literally as "Second-Daughter Yellow Butterfly," Anna May Wong's Chinese signature, in addition to her screen name, was added by Wong to this 5.5" x 3.5" photo from the 1931 Broadway production On the Spot. This small gem is in Very Fine condition with slight tanning and a minor crease in upper left corner. Brigitte Helm signed this incandescent 8.5" x 11" b&w photo in Berlin, December, 1930 (adding a lengthy inscription in German). In Very Fine condition with upper left tip of photo missing. Once known as the "Goddess of the Silent Screen," Dolores Costello signed (secretarial) this gorgeous 8" x 10" in 1928, the same year she married screen legend John Barrymore. A strikingly beautiful portrait of Costello, this b&w photo is in Excellent condition with mild tanning. An early b&w image of Norma Talmadge includes her signature (secretarial) and inscription to her fan H. Jacques. This sumptuous 8" x 10" is in Excellent condition with moderate tanning.
