Daisy and Violet Hilton Signed Album Page. Few Hollywood sagas are as strange as that of Daisy and Violet Hilton, Siamese twins who were featured in the notorious Freaks (1932) and starred in Chained for Life (1951). The ladies signed this 3" x 5.5" card "With best wishes from Daisy and Violet Hilton Feb. 11. 1933," which dates this signature to one year after the disastrous Los Angeles preview of Freaks. Performing in both their films with dignity and charm, the Hiltons, after various show business ventures, eventually faced poverty. At the time of their 1969 death, Daisy and Violet were employed by a market in North Carolina where, so the account goes, one worked the cash register and the other bagged the groceries. The autograph of British musical performer Gracie Fields is on the verso. A very rare and certainly unusual autograph in Excellent condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
