Description

Boris Karloff Signed Sketch from the Brown Derby. A framed 11" x 14" caricature sketch of Karloff by Eddie Vitch circa the 1930s, inscribed "To the Brown Derby/Best Wishes" and signed by the iconic actor in black ink. This was one of many celebrity caricatures that decorated the walls of the legendary Brown Derby restaurant in Los Angeles for decades, and Vitch was the artist who began the tradition in 1929. This particular sketch is signed by Vitch in the lower right corner. In Very Fine condition with some mild age toning and some moisture damage to the bottom edge, just barely touching the signature. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
