Bela Lugosi Signed 1951 Dracula Program. A program book from the 1951 British stage tour of Dracula, signed by Lugosi in red ink. This tour would be Lugosi's last hurrah with his Dracula counterpart, as his health waned drastically after returning from the ill-fated production. The program, from the Golders Green stop in the tour, is also signed by actress Sheila Wynn. Her portrayal of Lucy Seward in the play was rumored to be inspired by a genuine state of hypnosis, supposedly brought about by Bela's effect on the 21-year-old actress. Though Golders Green was Sheila's hometown, it was also the only venue where the troupe received hostile reactions from the crowd for the use of crucifixes throughout the play. She signed page four of the program in blue ink. A fascinating relic from Lugosi's last days as Dracula. In Fine to Very Fine condition. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
