An Oscar Hammerstein Signed Booklet of Sheet Music from "Oklahoma!," Circa 1955. Printed by Williamson Music. Inc. in 1943 to coincide with the first Broadway performance that took place at the St. James Theatre in New York City on March 31, 1943 [starring Celeste Holm and Howard Da Silva and directed by Rouben Mamoulian], 208 pages of songs from the beloved musical, signed by the librettist in blue felt-tip ink on the upper right corner of the cover "For Timmy / Our ex-extra / with my best wishes / Oscar Hammerstein;" 'Timmy' being Tim Zinnemann, son of Fred Zinnemann, director of the 1955 20th Century Fox film version of "Oklahoma!" which won two Academy Awards -- for 'Best Sound, Recording' and 'Best Music, Scoring of a Musical Picture;' the young Zinnemann evidently having had a small role in the film; consigned directly by Zinnemann.
