An Ava Gardner Handwritten Letter to Bob Wilson, 1964. On two pages of plain stationery, undated though postmark reads "9 June 64," sent to Wilson [the noted Big Band-era musician] from Spain, reading in part "Dear Bob & Audrey, / ...I'm going / to N.Y. this month to the / opening of 'Night of the Iguana' / because I'm proud of it / I hope th rest of the world / will like it as much as / all the people who made / it.../ for the first / time in my life I'm interested / in work...I'm doing / Sarah with Mr. John / Huston - I do love the / sadistic old bastard... / anybody who can make me like acting / has to be a bloody/ genius! / ...all my love, Ava;" also included is another short note on a torn piece of paper, reading in part "Also honey - give my / love to Frank.../ love again / Ava;" included with its original transmittal envelope (which is partially torn) penned in Gardner's hand; overall, a fun note showing the beauty's salty personality.
