This lot pertaining to Oscar-winning actress Alice Brady includes a four-page letter signed from Alice Brady to "Father dear" in pencil, 4.5" x 7.25"; 1938 Individual Income Tax Return "Completed Copy," four pages, 8.5" x 11", with two pages of typed financial information attached; two typed letters signed from Alex Kempner to Brady, March 3 and March 23, 1939, Hollywood, one page each, 8.5" x 11", Alex Kempner, Inc. letterhead, referring to payments for her performances in Hal Roach's Zenobia (1939), and John Ford's Young Mr. Lincoln (1939), her final film; also included is a 3.25" x 5.5" duplicate receipt for the deposit of funds into her account at the Bank of America; 1938 Income Tax Information Return to Brady from Hal Roach Studios, Inc., one page, 8.5" x 3.5"; Western Union Telegram to William A. Brady Sr., from Mrs. James J. Corbett offering sympathy at the time of Alice Brady's death, October 29, 1939, one page, 8" x 6"; and Western Union Telegram to William A. Brady Sr., from Robert F. Wagner on the death of Alice, and referring to "her brilliant and renouwned [sic] career," October 30, 1939, one page, 8" x 6". In Fine condition with original folds, minor wear, and age toning.
